TIPS OF THE WEEK

    CONCRETE

Tip: Should a concrete pour occur adjacent to a concrete structure, we highly recommend the rebar pin and dowel technique which insures correct support defeating the normal affects of the settling process.

Tip: Should you decide to “water” (keeping moist) your new concrete surface then it is necessary for you to maintain this as a constant for at least 3 days and not to exceed 7 days.

Insurance:  Application of a quality concrete treatment/sealer will cause a permanent chemical change, resulting in a harder surface that is both waterproof and dust proof.  The sealer penetrates deeply into the gel and capillary pores and crystallizes as part of the concrete.  This treatment will increase abrasion resistance by up to 67%, stop water seepage from either the positive or negative side of the concrete slab, prevents efflorescence as well as the freeze than damage and chloride ion intrusion commonly experienced on all flatwork.
